More than 100 prospective students and families came to the 10th annual Casa Abierta bilingual open house at UWM on Jan. 27. The event helps families who may be less comfortable with English to understand the entire college process.
Attendees could learn about the different schools and colleges and what fields of study are available. They also learned about the enrollment process and what financial aid is available. Sessions were held on student organizations and activities, and what resources are available to support students.
