2022’s Coming Out Monologues
October 11, 2022, 4:00-6:00pm
Student Union Alumni Fireside Lounge

This year, Coming Out Monologues is on October 11 (National Coming Out Day) – join us at the Student Union’s Alumni Fireside Lounge from 4:00pm-6:00pm to celebrate our LGBTQ+ communities on campus. Coming Out Monologues will feature a blended lineup of featured speakers, alongside open mic opportunities for UWM students; all are welcome to participate, whether its the first time you have shared your coming out story or your 100th time.

We will also have a photographer for those who want to save a snapshot of their pride! We will also have the League of Women Voters Milwaukee County tabling with resources around voter registration and information. Lastly, we will have free pride goodies available along with our resources and information about our LGBTQ+ Resource Center.

The event will also feature light refreshments and desserts. It is free and open for all UWM community members to attend.

ASL interpreting services will be provided for audience members and performers who are part of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community!

Interested in signing up to share your story? We welcome poetry, spoken word, singing, and other types of performances. Please fill out the form below; submissions are due by 5:00pm on September 30th. Need more time to prepare? Sign up to perform at the event!
