Annual Programs

Read up on some of the exciting programs the LGBTQ+ Resource Center hosts annually here at UWM.

Fall Welcome

Kick off the new year by joining us for a chance to mingle with new and returning students while getting to know our staff. It’s also a great chance for new students to learn what the LGBTQ+ Resource Center is all about and for everyone to see what we have planned this year! Check back in the fall for more details.

Annual Coming Out Monologues

The Coming Out Monologues is an annual celebration for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer identified people to share narratives of hope, support, and triumph. We host the Coming Out Monologues every year during the month of October. Check back in the fall to find more details.

Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil

The Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil is an annual candlelight vigil to remember the lives and read the names of those lost to anti-transgender violence, including deaths by suicide. There is a reception afterwards for those who wish to be in community with others. We host our Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil every year on or near November 20th. Check back in the fall to find more details.

Lavender Graduation

Lavender Graduation is an annual celebration of graduating LGBTQ+ students and their accomplishments at UWM. Check back in the spring to find more details.
