A stirring documentary about LGBTQ youth-of-color and the inspiration and agency they find in the community and performance of the Kiki scene, an artistic and activist collective legendary for its exhilarating ballroom shows. KIKI introduces us to the youth who energize this world. They contend with homelessness, illness, and prejudice as they assert expressions of identity and fight for social justice.

The 31st Annual Milwaukee LGBT Film/Video Festival opens on Wednesday, October 12th and continues October 14-23.

The Festival is presented by the Department of Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres in the UWM Peck School of the Arts.
