UWM Geoscience Students doing field work in Oregon and Washington

PhD student Chase Glenister (left) and MS student Adam Chumley (right) conducted volcanological field work in Oregon and Washington at the end of September 2021 with their supervisor Barry I Cameron. Chase was working on glaciovolcanic deposits at Hogg Rock and Hayrick Butte in central Oregon as well as Lone Butte and Crazy Hills in southern Washington, whereas Adam was embedded in trenches to understand explosive tephra deposits of cinder cones in central Oregon. Here the students enjoy a picturesque hike near North Sister volcano.
