I am interested in the areas of overlap between volcanology, geochemistry, and petrology. I am researching paleoenvironmental reconstructions of the Pleistocene ice sheet informed by glaciovolvanic deposits in northeast Iceland. Understanding what goes on underneath the Earth’s crust can only provide so much of a story from the rocks that are left behind, which is what drives my motivation.
