GO FoRWARD Program
We have an NSF-sponsored program housed in our department called GO FoRWARD (Geosciences Opportunities with Fossils Rocks and Water to Attract underRepresented Discoverers). The overarching goal of this program is to introduce a diverse audience of students to the geosciences discipline and careers.
Part of this 3 year program includes a 4 week PAID summer experience for any students from UWM and MATC who are from underrepresented minority groups in their first 2 years of college (incoming students also welcome!). Our focus will be on a fun environment to learn about geosciences research and career opportunities. Students do not need to have any experiences in the geosciences to participate. Non-science students are welcome!
