Larry Nelson

UWM at Waukesha County
Waukesha County Supervisor

I’m a proud alumni of John Marshall High School (1972), UW (1976), and UWM (1980). I was a middle school English teacher for 30 years until I was elected Waukesha Mayor (2006-2010). I was also a Waukesha Alderman (2000-2006) and am currently a Waukesha County Supervisor (2012-present). I chair the Waukesha County Health and Human Services Board and co-chair our Heroin Task Force. I volunteer on the Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books Program Committee, Waukesha Reads Steering Committee and Friends of the Waukesha Public Library Board, the Plowshare Fair Trade Marketplace Board, and as VP of the Community Action Coalition of South Central Wisconsin Board (whose mission is to end poverty).
