No more time spent filling out multiple applications that ask the same questions. Now you can fill out one general application and the Panther Scholarship Portal will do the rest, assuring that your application is reviewed for all scholarships and you will be contacted for those of which you are eligible.

You’ll also find an external link to even more scholarships available outside of UWM.


NEW: Engineering and Computer Science Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen for Fall 2025:

$4,000 Engineering Excellence Scholarship ($1,000 annual; renewable up to four years)

All domestic new freshmen pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science full-time are eligible based on high school GPA of 3.75+. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years ($1,000/year or $4,000 total) if students continue full-time enrollment in the College of Engineering & Applied Science. Qualified freshmen receive their scholarship automatically upon full-time enrollment and are notified of the award shortly after admittance. No scholarship application is required.

$16,000 Dean’s Merit Scholarship ($4,000 annual; renewable up to four years)

All domestic new freshmen pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science full-time are eligible based on high school GPA of 3.75+ and ACT Math 27+ or SAT Math 630+ or Math Placement Level 40+ at the time of admission. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years ($4,000/year or $16,000 total) if students continue full-time enrollment in the College of Engineering & Applied Science. Qualified freshmen receive their scholarship automatically upon full-time enrollment and are notified of the award shortly after admittance. No scholarship application is required.

These awards may be combined with other scholarships and grants offered by UWM, including the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship and Black & Gold Scholarship.

The Engineering Excellence Scholarship and Dean’s Merit Scholarship is a financial commitment from the UWM College of Engineering & Applied Science to the recipient. UWM may replace the award for one or more academic years with a named scholarship valued at the same amount.
