Where Curious and Open Minds Aspire

For more than 50 years, the department has focused on building multiculturally competent counselors and psychologists, and in 2013 it won the American Psychological Association’s prestigious Bersoff Presidential Cultural Award for its success in recruiting and graduating doctoral students from diverse backgrounds.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a community of individuals with diverse cultural identities and backgrounds. We are dedicated to ensuring faculty, staff and students work together to create a climate of safety and support for all people with whom we serve, study and collaborate. We are committed to promoting equity, particularly for individuals with historically minoritized and marginalized identities. We welcome opportunities to enrichen our individual and collective experiences.

Educational Psychology Fellowship Application Deadlines

Students in Educational Psychology graduate programs are eligible for funding opportunities through the Graduate School. Fellowships information and links to apply can be found on the Graduate School Types of Funding webpage. Those applications must be submitted by the last week in December (2023 deadline: December 28, 2023) for internal ranking in the department.
