The storyline traces the Frake family's journey from their family farm to the 1946 Iowa State Fair. The public is invited to bring in their home movies in 8mm, Super 8, 16mm, VHS, Mini-DV, or digital formats to have their materials inspected and/or repaired by UWM volunteers and screened for an audience while the owner narrates. The event is open to people who want to simply watch other people’s home movies as well.
