Not everyone majors in the arts, but that doesn’t mean the arts aren’t a welcome addition to any major. In fact, all students can add creativity and excitement to their studies through selecting arts GER courses or pursuing an arts minor or certificate.

Developing creative competencies while working toward your degree offers mind-body benefits, as well. Scientific studies indicate that artistic activities can help our bodies and our brains do their best work by regulating stress, improving memory and cognition and boosting our immune response.

Creativity in the arts

Pursue creativity and your degree with Arts GER courses

Artist faculty teach dozens of courses each semester that help develop skills for life and earn GER credit. Learn to dance like everyone’s watching, design digitally, take great photos, sing with confidence or speak with conviction.

From Beginning Ceramics to Salsa Merengue and American Popular Music to Digital Cinema and the Computer, there’s a GER course in the arts for every undergrad. Which one will you choose?
