The UW-Milwaukee Youth Wind and Percussion Ensembles program ("UWAY") will present a concert of chamber ensemble pieces and repertoire for a large, symphonic wind-band.
This end of the term showing features works by the African Dance, Salsa/Merengue & Hip Hop classes.
The New Music Ensemble will perform works by contemporary and living composers. This eclectic musical group will also perform compositions for chamber ensembles and large ensembles mixing winds, brass, and percussion. Featured pieces are by student composers from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Students enrolled in Interactive Electronic Music, representing UW-MESS (UWM Electroacoustic Sound Studios), will showcase their final projects in a concert featuring all-new works of interactive electronic music!
For the first time, Chamber Music Milwaukee will present an inter-departmental collaboration that will unite the Music department with the Theater, Dance and Visual departments. UWM faculty and guests will perform chamber music repertoire that will be accompanied and enhanced by choreographic, theatrical and art works. The repertoire will include Duo Brouwer's Elogio de la Danze for solo guitar, Olivier Greif's Letters from Westerbork for two violins and voice and Leonard Bernstein's Dance Suite for brass quintet.

Raquel de Anda is an independent curator and cultural producer raised on the US-Mexico border of Laredo, TX. Recent exhibitions include Like The Waters We Rise: Climate Justice in Print (New York, NY). She is currently designing an initiative to support the cultural and artistic production of Borderlands communities on both sides of the US-Mexico border.
Winterdances: Perfectly Wild presents an evening of provocative choreography by Los Angeles-based Hip Hop choreographer Jackie Lopez, and Dance faculty members Daniel Burkholder, Tiffany Kadani, and Dan Schuchart. Join us for a concert that blurs the line between the magical and the mundane, traces the rivers of Milwaukee, reflects on the haunting legacy of Japanese internment, and empowers the fierce bonds of womanhood. These dances dive into our shared humanity, the challenges we all face, and offer a vision of how we might gather strength to come together in community.
The Vocal Arts Festival provides an opportunity for talented singers to interact with, perform for, and join their voices with peers from around the region as they learn and grow as both soloists and choral artists. The festival also includes the UWM Vocal Showcase Recital and the Final Concert with UWM Concert Chorale.

High School Workshop Day is the best way for high school groups and classes to learn from our internationally known faculty. This event is great for those curious and interested in becoming a dance major at UW-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts. High school groups, High School dance programs, and individuals (accompanied by a chaperone) are welcome to register.
Priya Kambli was born in India. She moved to the United States at age 18 carrying her entire life in one suitcase that weighed 20 lbs. She is currently Professor of Art at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. In 2008 PhotoLucida awarded her a book publication prize for her project Color Falls Down, published in 2010.
To celebrate Black History Month, Chamber Music Milwaukee is presenting a program highlighting chamber music from under-represented composers. Music needs to reflect our communities in their diversity and complexity. This unique program will features UWM faculty and guest performing works by Julio Racine (Haiti), Reena Esmail (Indian-American), Miguel del Aguila (Uruguay), Han Lash (LGBTQ+) and Samuel Zyman (Mexico).
The work of Amy O’Neill investigates the intersections and balances between community and isolation, and the collaborative effort to build and maintain shared commonalities. Her paintings explore the invisible structures that support, improve, or divide specific communities. Her work has been included in juried and invitational exhibitions across the US and locally at the Portrait Society Gallery, Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Charles Allis Art Museum.
The UWM Wind Ensemble & Symphony Band will perform on respective halves of this concert. Both the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band regularly perform repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the present.
