The UWM Percussion Ensemble presents its annual Fall concert, featuring a wide variety of instruments, sounds, and compositions from different periods. The program will feature Alyssa Weinberg's colorful "Ember II" along with other chamber works: Rich O'Meara's "Puzzle Piece," Juri Seo's "VV," and "The Song of Queztecoatl" by Lou Harrison. Other works showcasing larger ensembles include Blake Tyson's "A Ceiling Full of Stars," Bob Becker's "Atenteben," and "Fanfare for Tambourines" by John Alfieri.

This program by the UW-Milwaukee Wind Ensemble will feature Professors Kevin Hartman (Trumpet) and Bernard Zinck (Violin) as featured performers on James M. Stephenson’s “The Storyteller,” an homage to long-time Chicago Symphony Orchestra Principal Trumpet Adolph “Bud” Herseth (1921-2013). The concert will also include a pair of compositions with celestial inspirations: Roshanne Etezady’s “Parhelion” and Frank Ticheli’s “Symphony No. 2: Apollo Unleashed.” We are pleased to welcome special nominated high school students in Milwaukee who will perform side-by-side at this concert.

The resident members of the UWM Youth Wind and Percussion Ensembles program (UWAY) welcome aspiring members as part of the UWAY “All-Star” Band and share a special concert performance! The celebrate Women's History Month, Chamber Music Milwaukee is presenting a chamber music program showcasing women composers. UWM faculty and guests will perform works including Henriette Renié Trio for harp, violin and cello, Rebecca Clarke Sonata for viola and piano, Adrienne Albert Doppler Effect for flute, viola and harp and sarah Kirland Snider You a re Free for flute, clarinet, marimba, violin and cello.
For its last concert of the season, Chamber Music Milwaukee is presenting a chamber music program featuring works written by current and former UWM composition faculty. Curated by Phillip Sink, the event will offers UWM faculty and guests the opportunity to showcase repertoire that reflects UWM Composition Area's rich history and diversity.
UWM's Kameraden tenor-bass choir is joined by Vox Ignis, the tenor-bass choir from Carthage College, for a joint choral performance. Join directors Zack Durlam (UWM), Maggie Burk (Carthage) and singers from UWM and Carthage for a collaborative afternoon of choral music.
in^set is a flexible chamber ensemble dedicated to creation, improvisation and experimentation. Founded in 2018 by David Aguila (trumpet), Teresa Díaz de Cossio (flute), and Ilana Waniuk (violin), in^set is committed to commissioning and performing existing compositions which extends their respective instrumental practices beyond the confines of contemporary classical music. Their collaborative creative work seeks to explore the sonic and visual possibilities of everyday objects, digital and analog visual components and hacked electronics. As advocates for music of the present, they aim to foster artistic partnerships and alternative modes of concert presentation. Their activities include outreach workshops and performances geared towards sharing their passion for expanded methods of sound production.
This exciting night of music will feature music from Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago performed by UWM students and Milwaukee community members. The UWM Steel PANthers Steel Band and the Community World Music Ensemble will join forces on a program highlighting traditional and arranged music played on Guatemalan marimba doble and Trinidadian steel pans.
The UWM Wind Ensemble will perform their final concert of the academic year featuring the Wind Band Concerto Competition Winner, Britni Cohen-Wichner.

Heartland Marimba was established in 2016 by acclaimed marimba soloist Matthew Coley and has done more than 140 concerts since its inception. The group seeks to give a platform to the music of American composers in its programming and continues to expand its repertoire with works from composers worldwide.
