Michael W. Ross Scholarship Eligibility:

This $1,000 scholarship is given to a full-time major in AADS with demonstrated financial need as shown on the FAFSA. Students must meet the minimum GPA requirement (2.0) and preference will be given to a student from an underrepresented racial or ethnic group.

Apply through the UWM Scholarship Portal: https://uwm.academicworks.com/ This opportunity should appear on your home dashboard, but if it does not just search for it by name.

Step 1 is to fill out or update your general application. If you previously completed this, your past answers will carry over but you should update it and add any new information.

Step 2 is to complete the Letters & Science application which consists of just one item – upload a copy of your UWM transcript.

Step 3 is to complete the W. Michael Ross Scholarship which contains just one question – why did you choose to major in African and African Diaspora Studies.
