About the Guest Speaker:
Dr. Fernanda Barros dos Santos is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Human Rights, and Vice Director of the Center of Public Policy and Human Rights at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She received her Master’s degree in Comparative History from UFRJ and her Ph.D. in Political Science from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). Her research examines human rights, public policy, race relations, Black women, Brazilian social thought, and the interactions between the state and Black social movements.
