Tuesday, April 7th is the National Day of Action during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Please see the flyer for the letter writing campaign and contact information sheet to find out more about how you can take action and encourage others throughout campus and beyond to do the same. We invite you to share these attachments widely with your networks, both on and off campus!

Ways to participate:

• Write letters of support for victim/survivors of sexual violence that will be shared with clients of Aurora Healing and Advocacy Services, an organization dedicated to making life better for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Please send letters by email to nicole.glaser@aurora.org with “Survivor Letter Call to Action” in the subject line.
• Participate in the “See a letter, send a letter” social media campaign! Write a social post (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok) featuring a picture of your letter writing action and tag five friends to do the same. Use the hashtag #SAAMUWM to promote this important activity!
• Send an email to local, state, and national legislators and/or UWM administrators to call for institutional change that works toward a future free from sexual violence. Find contact information for your elected officials. In the interest of public health, we invite you to mail any physical correspondence once restrictions are limited.
