Erin Winkler: How we talk about race to children

A recent article in the UWM Report, “How do we talk to children about race? UWM researcher offers advice,” focuses on Associate Professor Erin Winkler’s (African and African Diaspora Studies and Urban Studies) research with children and teachers over the years on the topic of race.

Dr. Winkler is frequently invited to speak to parents and teachers about how to talk about race with children, and has served as a consultant to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, a Smithsonian Institution on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
