UWM Tech Timeout for the end of the Fall 2023 semester will begin on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 12:01am and ends Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 11:59pm.

What is Tech Timeout?
Tech Timeout refers to a timeframe when University IT Services will not make changes that affect campus-wide services, functions, or activities. This includes major IT project changes, retiring or implementing a new IT platform, etc.

We do this at the beginning and end of each semester to ensure a stable IT environment during peak periods of UWM educational and business activities. Exceptions would only apply if the stability or security of IT services needs to be maintained. Those exceptions would be communicated to the UWM community.
