Gauchat on Public Perceptions of Science and Political Ideology

A recent publication by Assistant Professor Gordon Gauchat is receiving attention in the press. Washington Post’s Chris Mooney’s article “This is where distrust of science really comes from — and it’s not just your politics” includes Gauchat’s sociological research.

Gauchat’s new paper of which the Washington Post is referring is “The Political Context of Science in the United States: Public Acceptance of Evidence-Based Policy and Science Funding.” It was published this year in the journal Social Forces by Oxford University Press.
