Water Technology Accelerator (WaTA) - Global Water Center

Shaun Wahlig is a Research Technician in J.R. Strickler's UWM lab at the Global Water Center. While acquiring a bachelor's degree in Biology from UWM, Shaun joined Strickler's lab to study the hazards of oil spills and oil spill dispersants on zooplankton such as mysid and brine shrimp. From a young age, Shaun learned to SCUBA dive and went every summer to Bonaire. There he fell in love with coral reefs. He strives to protect and preserve the ocean's fragile ecosystem through his work at the Global Water Center.
