Rizwen is currently a masters (leading to PhD) student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He received his B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology in 2008. He has worked few years in the facilities management and power generating equipment in Bangladesh prior to start his graduate studies at UWM in 2016.

He works in Dr. Woo-Jin Chang research group and currently working on the electro-chemical detection techniques of heavy metals in water. The goal is to develop a low cost, disposable sensor that can detect heavy metals in tap water overcoming the pH effect for heavy metals ions in water.
