Maity, Arnab

Post-doctoral Researcher

Arnab Maity is presently working as post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He is working with water sensor group, led by Prof. Junhong Chen, Distinguished professor, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Arnab completed his Ph. D. (Materials Science) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2015. Before joining Ph. D, he also received his M. Sc. (Physics) and M. Tech. (Advanced Materials Science & Technology) degree in 2008 and 2010 respectively. During his Ph. D, he had worked with defence, national and international projects.
His current research works are based on 2D nanomaterials and metal oxide based electronic sensors to detect water contamination species, heavy metals, toxic and explosive gas compounds for the development of real time, automated water and air quality monitoring system. He had published 11 international journals, 1 book chapter and 1 patent. His research interests are the development of electronic nose & tongue, sensor array and machine olfaction using ultrathin nano- materials.
