UWM and Children’s Hospital unite for family well-being

UWM researchers work hand in hand with practitioners at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to improve the lives of children and families by designing and implementing effective programs such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

PCIT and TF-CBT are evidence-based interventions promoted by the Institute for Child and Family Well-Being that promote resilience, address the impact of trauma on children and help parents support their children.

This work is done through the Institute for Child and Family Well-Being, a collaboration between Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare.
