UWM ranked in top 3.1% of universities worldwide

UW-Milwaukee has been ranked in the top 3.1% of universities in the world by the Center for World University Rankings.

UWM is one of only three universities in Wisconsin included in the center’s Global 2000 list, along with UW-Madison and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Overall, UWM ranked No. 619 out of 20,531 universities ranked worldwide.

The Center for World University Rankings relies on objective criteria for its rankings, so it does not consider surveys and data submissions from universities. The criteria focus on education, employability, quality of faculty and research. Among the factors considered: the academic and professional success of alumni, research output of faculty and the number of faculty members who have received top academic distinctions.

The Center for World University Rankings is a consulting organization providing policy advice, strategic insights and consulting services to governments and universities to improve educational and research outcomes.
