UWM prominent on Milwaukee-area power players list

Nineteen people with ties to UWM have been named to this year’s Milwaukee Business Journal Power Players list.

The list recognizes 100 people in southeastern Wisconsin who get things done, whether they be up-front leaders of important organizations or movers-and-shakers behind the scenes.

“These are people you turn to when you need to get something done, whether it’s a business deal, community project or raising money for a great cause,” the Business Journal said. “Many of them excel as mentors, both formally and not, while others are on the list because of the reputational capital they’ve built up over the years.”

The list includes UWM Chancellor Mark Mone, who is stepping down from that position this summer to return to teaching in the Lubar College of Business, along with these alumni and those who have been awarded honorary degrees:
