America’s Best Employers by State 2026 includes organizations employing more than 500 people. UWM was one of just 75 organizations to make the list in Wisconsin, and one of just 1,365 employers that made the list nationwide.

Couple’s $1.5 million gift for UWM research vessel memorializes children

Sally Wilmeth and Terry Geurkink have committed $1.5 million for the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences’ new research vessel, the Maggi Sue. This gift is given in memory of the couple’s two children, Jenni and Kyle Geurkink.
