Nominate students to be Panther Transition leaders

Faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate students to be Panther Transition Leaders. Panther Transition leaders (PTL) will participate in a two-week, paid, summer leadership opportunity designed to facilitate small groups of new students at Panther Transition Experience.

Panther Transition Experience is a four-day program in which students participate in small group workshops, UWM traditions, community- and relationship-building activities, and exploring campus. PTLs will lead new students through experiences that highlight life as a Panther.

The PTL role is an entry-level employment opportunity, and students will be trained by UWM Orientation leaders. The PTL role will help students have a significant effect on their peers’ success and is a great entry into more extensive leadership and employment opportunities on campus.

Panther Transition leaders are paid $11 an hour and may move into residential housing early in Fall 2024, if they have a Fall 2024 University Housing contract.
