More than $1 million raised during 414 for UWM Giving Day

The UWM community came together April 13-14 to raise more than $1 million on 414 for UWM Giving Day.

This 24-hour event, created to support students and programming at UWM, brought in over $100,000 in matches and challenges alone. More than 1,700 alumni, faculty, staff, students, families and friends made gifts, a 43% increase over last year’s participation. This was the first 414 for UWM Giving Day to raise more than $1 million.

Official results include:

  • $1,045,974 raised
  • 1,728 total donors
  • Donors from all 50 states
  • Over 300 first-time donors

“The UWM community of supporters is remarkable – especially our amazing ambassadors whose enthusiasm for UWM brought in nearly $35,000 in gifts,” said Amy Lensing Tate, assistant vice chancellor for alumni relations. “Our alumni and friends know that support and advocacy for UWM are essential for our state and region. We are blown away and celebrating the 1,728 alumni and friends who made a gift to support their favorite part of UWM on our third annual giving day. I am so grateful to all of our donors and ambassadors who contributed to making this day a success. Thank you!”
