Digital Humanities Lab announces new award

The UWM Libraries Digital Humanities Lab is now accepting applications for the Digital Humanities Lab Teaching Fellows and Linked Teaching Teams Award. The award is intended to encourage faculty and instructors to share their digital humanities assignments via workshops and documentation.

The deadline to submit applications is March 30. Each fellow will be awarded $500 toward supplies and expenses to use as they see fit. The award is open to UWM faculty, teaching academic staff and graduate teaching assistants.

Applicants can apply as individuals or as two-person “Linked Teaching Teams.” Teams must be composed of two instructors from different departments teaching two different classes that are informally “linked” through collaborative interventions that enrich the learning experiences and outcomes of each class.

Fellows will be expected to include an assignment incorporating digital humanities tools and methods in a class they are teaching for the Fall 2018 semester, to share their experience through a workshop and discussion in the Digital Humanities Lab in Spring 2019 and to document their assignment, resources and learning outcomes for the Digital Humanities Lab website.

To apply, visit the Digital Humanities Lab webpage.
