The northbound I-43 ramp, Ramp 76A, to eastbound Capitol Drive will close long-term beginning Friday, May 10. Ramp 76B will remain open during the closure.
Capitol Drive will be restricted to one lane between Green Bay Ave and 2nd Street. Delays on Capitol are expected for both eastbound and westbound traffic, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation says. The exit is expected to be closed until fall.
The alternate route for UW-Milwaukee northbound traffic is Locust Street. The Department of Transportation will cover the 76 A section and place a 76 B section on the UW-Milwaukee sign on I-43 northbound, north of Keefe.
The DOT’s suggested alternate route is Locust Street.
The UPARK lot on the Prowl line is at Capitol and Humboldt Blvd.
