TogetherMask

TogetherMask

Lindsey Roddy, CEO and founder of RoddyMedical and UWM student (RN, BSN, and Ph.D. student studying Nursing Science), and Kyle Jansson are working to bring safe reusable masks to the front-line workers of the Coronavirus pandemic. Lindsey and the RoddyMedical team – an assembly of engineers, designers, doctors, and nurses have been working overtime on a solution to the personal protection equipment (PPE). Kyle Jansson and a team of engineers at the UWM prototyping center used 3D printing to create upwards of 80 prototypes before the current solution was created.

Their solution: the TogetherMask. The TogetherMask comes in multiple sizes, is designed for comfort and durability, contains medical grade filters that can be removed and replaced, and can be disassembled to be washed. Another unique feature the TogetherMask incorporates is that it is see through, allowing patients and healthcare workers to feel more connected. Even more astounding, is that the project came together in four weeks – in the medical world were new innovations take years.
