The ‘LS – Front Page A’ template is used on the home page of a site. This template is best used for Departments that want to feature their 2 – 4 primary research areas in the ‘LS Front Page Hero Widget area’. The template also contains ‘Subsidiary Widget Areas’ to house other types of dynamic content such as news or events. Sites using this template include:

Specialized Content Areas

In addition to the standard template areas (header, main navigation, content, footer) the ‘LS – Front Page A’ template contains the following specialized template areas.

LS Front Page Hero Widget Area

This area is typically populated with a ‘Content Block’, but other types of widgets could reside here as well. It should focus on the departments main research areas or persuade a user to click a specific call-to-action.

Subsidiary Widget Area

Up to 3 different types of widgets can be placed in this area. For example, a department might want to have their News, Events and specialized links here.
