If you would like to schedule a visit to the library, request specialized instruction for your class, or a tour for a group, please follow the buttons below and let us know what type of visit you would like and how many people we can expect. For those who would love to visit the AGSL, but cannot make the trip, check out our Self-Guided Tour to see the top hits on permanent display.
The AGSL works with classes from UWM and other universities every semester to achieve their shared learning outcomes. Each class is tailored with a specific set of maps and/or geospatial data and an activity chosen in consultation with the professor. In addition to introducing students to the AGSL collections and our facilities, we are dedicated to a learner-centered approach to teaching and work to foster students’ critical thought about information, its creation, and its historical legacy. We work with all disciplines at any academic level.
Whether in person or online, some focuses of the class can be:
- cartographic literacy
- primary source literacy
- visual literacy
- data literacy
Feel free to use the Schedule Instruction button or email agsl@uwm.edu for more information.
