Son Jarocho: A Musical Workshop of Black & Brown Resistance

Join local community project, Milwaz Talleres for an interactive, movement-based workshop sharing the traditions of Son Jarocho, a traditional strings music from southern Veracruz. This free workshop will highlight the tradition’s ties to African, Indigenous and Spanish Heritage. Attendees will gain basic knowledge on how to dance, sing, and play this traditional art form.
