Room Freeze Information
We are not currently accepting Room Change Requests. At the beginning of each academic year, we place a freeze on room changes while we get everyone settled. This freeze last approximately 3 weeks into the Fall semester.
- The Room Freeze will be lifted on September 15. The request form will open on Sunday, September 14.
- During the freeze, please focus on completing your Roommate/Suitemate Agreement and building connections with your living group.
Working with Your Roommates
Take time to talk with your roommates/suitemates in person about expectations for your shared space. You don’t have to be best friends, but it’s important to keep communication open and respectful. Finding common ground—and learning from your differences—is part of the college experience and an opportunity to grow.
Room Change Requests
Submitting a room change request form does not guarantee an immediate change. Residence Life staff will review all requests along with current housing availability. Since we have very few open spaces, one option may be to arrange a swap with another student, which would require both of you to submit the request form.

Only for the use of residents already housed in a University Housing facility for the current academic term. Any requests made for a future academic term will be discarded.
