The Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute is accepting applications for three different funding opportunities for 2027 for faculty, staff and students. Deadlines for each is Sunday, Oct. 18.
Applications are open for:
- Paving ROADS Seed Fund, which supports faculty research
- Pioneer Collaborative Curricula Program, which supports course and curriculum development
- Student Research Scholars, which supports paid, faculty-mentored student research during the Spring 2027 semester
These programs must focus on NMDSI’s areas of priority: data science (broadly defined), responsible AI and data ethics, bias and equity, workforce development, economic vitality and financial security.
