These informal gatherings are intended to give anyone who is interested the opportunity to take a look at some of the Greek texts that they are familiar with in translation. No knowledge of Greek is necessary, and lurkers are welcome. Also welcome is dropping in only once at some point during the semester.
For those who have studied Greek and would like the opportunity to apply what they have learned, they can try their hand at translating with as much guidance as they need. I will also have on hand the standard reference materials to aid translation, and we can practice navigating them a bit.
The gatherings will take place in Curtin Hall, room 382 from 5:00pm-6:00pm on the following Thursdays:
- Thursday, February 16
- Thursday, March 2
- Thursday, March16
- Thursday, March 30
- Thursday, April 13
- Thursday, April 27
