Entrepreneur speaking to group

The George A. Goetz Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture Series features distinguished entrepreneurial leaders and thought leaders to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs, share insights into strategies for entrepreneurial success, and stimulate dialogue on enhancing the economic vitality of Southeastern Wisconsin through entrepreneurship.

The series is named for George A. Goetz, who built Goetz Haussler James into one of the state’s top-grossing insurance agencies before its sale to Rollins Burdick Hunter in 1979. While managing the agency, he increasingly turned his attention to entrepreneurial pursuits, buying and helping create numerous businesses throughout southeastern Wisconsin. He also sought to educate the next generation of business leaders, including creating and teaching a course in new business ventures at UWM’s Lubar School of Business.
