This is an event for high school band programs. Spend the morning at UW-Milwaukee and get to know our world-class Woodwind, Brass & Percussion performance faculty! There will be performances, master classes, and a mass band experience for all involved!
High school band students will spend the morning watching a performance of the UW-Milwaukee Wind, Brass, and Percussion faculty and college students, receive coachings and masterclasses with UWM faculty, and participate in a final performance side-by-side with faculty and other high school band students in a large band. No advanced preparation is required as students learn pieces at the event and conclude the morning with all the bands playing together with UWM faculty. Additional activities for Band Directors include a Professional Development conducting seminar.
