A Wisconsin-based artist and educator, Salas blends landscape, portraiture, architecture, and country music into artwork evoking a strange, rural poetry. He holds board positions with the Wisconsin Arts Board, Museum of Wisconsin Art, and the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters.

The Peck School of the Arts Department of Art & Design proudly presents the 2023-24 Artists Now! Lecture Series featuring diverse creators working across traditional, hybrid and emergent disciplines. Nationally and internationally recognized practitioners explore and expand the boundaries of contemporary creative visual practice through May 2024.
