Please join us on April 25th, 2019 @ 7:00 pm as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Black Studies at UW-Milwaukee. The event will be held in the Union-Wisconsin Room and include a keynote presentation from esteemed alumna and Harvard University Professor, Dr. Evelyn Higginbotham, as well as a panel discussion with Dr. Dan Burrell (student activist and first director of the Center for Afro-American Culture), Dr. Clayborn Benson, (UWM alumn and director of the Wisconsin Black Historial Society), and Dr. Charmane Perry (graduate of the department's PhD program).
