Congratulations to AADS alum Geraud Blanks (Chief Innovation Officer, Milwaukee Film) for winning the Graduate of the Last Decade (Gold) Award from the UWM Alumni Association. “Geraud Blanks oversees the staff in marketing, corporate partnerships, cultures and communities, memberships and developments for Milwaukee Film. As a UWM student, he volunteered for the organization, co-founding the Black Lens program, one of the country’s leading film festivals for African American cinema. Blanks and his team founded the Cultures and Communities Festival (formerly the Minority Health Festival), which promotes health equity, cultural inclusivity and individual and communal wellness through film.”
