UWM offers bachelor’s degree completion programs through University Center locations in partnership with Wisconsin technical colleges. Students complete coursework online while receiving support at their local campus.

Complete a UWM bachelor’s degree in Information Science & Technology with flexible online classes and on-campus support at Moraine Park Technical College.

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is designed for students who have earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Human Services or Substance Use Disorder Counseling. The Information Science & Technology BS and Criminal Justice & Criminology BS can be completed by students with any associate degree.  

Can I enroll in any UWM major through a University Center?

No. University Centers offer select bachelor’s degree completion programs that vary by location.

Depending on your goals and location, you may be able to complete your degree through UWM Online or by attending classes on the Milwaukee campus. Contact a UWM admissions advisor to help evaluate your credits and identify your best path to a bachelor’s degree.

Are University Center classes in person or online?

Courses are offered online. Students do not attend in-person classes but can access support services at their local technical college.

Am I eligible for a University Center program?

You may be eligible if you have completed an associate degree or met the prerequisite coursework required for your intended bachelor’s degree program. Compete the Intent Form to confirm your eligibility and next steps.

Are University Center students official UWM students?

Yes. University Center students are UWM students and earn the same University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee degree as students who attend classes on the Milwaukee campus.

How much is tuition?

Students enrolled in University Center programs pay UWM Online tuition rates for their coursework. Please see the UWM Online cost page for current UWM Online tuition rates.

Do I need to come to campus regularly?

No. Students complete coursework online and only visit the University Center campus as needed for optional support services.

What is the difference between UWM Online and UWM University Centers?

UWM Online is fully online with no in-person campus support. University Centers combine online coursework with access to services at a local technical college campus.

Is financial aid available?
