2016 UWM Campus Safety Week
Please join the UWM Police Department and Campus Community Partners in this fall’s Campus Safety Week, September 26th through September 29th. This year’s focus will be Building Relationships and Protecting Community.
Campus Safety Week is an excellent event that helps the department build relationships with citizens to create a safer campus environment. This week is one we look forward to each year. The main event will be held on Monday, September 26th at the UW Milwaukee Student Union from 8am-2pm. You will be able to navigate through the Union Concourse and Spaights Plaza to meet, greet and gain useful safety tips from our many campus partners. Other highlighted events taking place throughout the week include: Active Shooter training, CPR & AED training, AKA Self-Defense training and demonstrations, and Alcohol Awareness events. At the conclusion of the week we will host our outstanding Coffee with a Cop event in collaboration with the UWM Student Association; there is no agenda, just conversations with UW Milwaukee Police Officers and Student Association representatives on topics that interest you.
We look forward to your visit.
Note: A complete schedule of the trainings for this week can be found under the “Safety Training” section of this page or follow the links below.
