The mission of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Police Department (UWM–PD) is to provide a safe and secure environment in which to learn, live, and work. UWM–PD is committed to community policing through evidence-based, problem–oriented, data informed, and collaborative strategies. UWM–PD operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is staffed by 33 sworn law enforcement officers and 9 civilian staff members who are dedicated to serving the needs of the university community. Our success is dependent upon developing and maintaining strong partnerships with an engaged university community.
