The association’s president since 2013, Stoffel presented the Eleanor Clarke Slagle Lectureship – the highest academic scholarly award in the United States – to UWM’s Roger Smith, professor of occupational science and technology.

Smith will present the lecture at the association’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2017.

April is recognized as Occupational Therapy Month. This year marked the third time that the conference was the largest ever gathering in the profession.
