Nominations sought for outstanding service awards

UWM is seeking nominations of university staff employees worthy of receiving one of four outstanding service awards. Winners will be identified through a competitive nomination and review process.

The annual fall awards ceremony will be held Wednesday, Oct. 4.

University Staff Service Award nominations must be submitted to your dean or division head by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30.

 Criteria:

  • Recognition of outstanding contributions to UWM above and beyond the call of duty; extraordinary workload over an extended period of time and/or temporarily assuming additional responsibilities.
  • Direct impact on and benefit to one’s respective department, division and the university.

Eligibility:

  • All UWM university staff with an expectation of continued employment (permanent) or on a project appointment.
  • Awardees of the last three years are ineligible.

Process:

  • Anyone from the campus community may nominate individuals.
  • June 30: Nominations must be submitted to deans or division heads
  • July 14: Deans/division heads screen nominations and submit to the University Staff Council Awards Committee names of their finalists for consideration by selection committees.
  • July 28: University Staff Council Awards Committee submits final recommendation for awards.
