ArtsECO receives renewed funding of $824,000

Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies has given UWM’s ArtsECO project $824,000, providing three more years of funding.

ArtsECO, a collaboration between the Peck School of the Arts and the School of Education, provides support for art and art teachers in the Milwaukee area. ArtsECO stands for Arts Education/Community Ecosystem. (Read more about the project here.)

The renewed funding runs through Dec. 31, 2019. This is the organization’s second three-year grant to ArtsECO.

Co-principal investigators are: Kim Cosier, associate dean and professor of art education in the Peck School of the Arts; Josie Osborne, senior lecturer and director of the First Year Program in the Peck School of the Arts; and Candance Doerr-Stevens, assistant professor in the School of Education. Joëlle Worm of the Peck School of the Arts is the director of the project.
