SharePoint Access Request

UREC Access to files and folders. This request must be completed by a UREC Full Time Administrator. Request must be limited to what the user actually needs, granting the highest access isn’t something that meets our security philosophy.

    The following policy needs to be communicated to person receiving access: University Recreation (UREC) Computer and SharePoint Access Acknowledgement: UWS 18.12 Property offenses. (1) COMPUTER DATA, PROGRAMS, EQUIPMENT OR SUPPLIES. No person may willfully, knowingly and without authorization do or attempt to do any of the following:(a) Modify, destroy, access, take possession of or copy data, computer programs or supporting documentation; (b) Disclose restricted access codes or other restricted access information to a person not authorized to possess such codes or information; (c) Modify, destroy, use, take or damage a computer, computer system or computer network; (d) Modify, destroy, use, take or damage any equipment or supplies used, or intended to be used, in a computer, computer system or computer network. (e) Cause an interruption in service by submitting a message or multiple messages to a computer, computer program, computer system, or computer network that exceeds the processing capacity of the computer, computer program, computer system, or computer network. I acknowledge that I have read UWS Chapter 18.12 referenced above and have been given an opportunity to discuss further any details or polices that pertain to the use and access of University Recreation Computer Data, Programs, Equipment or Supplies.

    Groups are used for access and permissions to SharePoint libraries. You must really know what the employee needs. IE UREC Students group can only read in all the libraries as a baseline.
    Edit – Can view, add, edit and delete lists, update and delete list items and documents ~Contribute – Can view, add, update and delete list items and documents ~Read – Can view pages and list items and download documents ~Limited Access – Can view specific lists, document libraries, list items, folders or documents when given permissions ~View Only – Can view pages, list items and documents, but not download documents.
